Presentation for gener8tor & Allianz, Twin Cities Startup Week

Hello. Welcome to my website for graduate applications. Here you will find information on my research, engineering, educational goals and entrepreneurship. In the last few years my work has been presented in Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and elsewhere. I believe that medical robotics, multi-modal sensing methods, and artificial intelligence are the fundamental innovations that will bring unlimited health services to humanity on a global scale.

Future Research

The following future research areas represent my current interests for PhD studies. I expect these topics to continually evolve, adapt, and reinvent as I am exposed to different labs, professors, and scientists.

Future Interest Area

Relationship Between Human Movement Patterns & Cognitive Health

During my master’s research I discovered correlations between human movement patterns and cognitive health. This relationship is in the early stages of what could lead to a deeper understanding of how movement correlates to emotion, infection, disease progression, and cognitive health. I am to further research in this area within a number of potentially high impact areas with novel approaches and technology.

Future Interest Area

Noninvasive Neuroengineering & Neuromodulation Applications

Utilization of neuroengineering applications is one of the primary considerations for individuals. The ability to monitor brain activity without the need to open the skull holds tremendous potential for large populations to utilize novel applications to monitor and improve cognitive function.

Human & Robot Interaction for caregivers is one of strongest cases to reduce healthcare costs at a population level. The shortage of nurses is global problem that nearly all nations face for the next few decades.

Human & Robot Interaction for continuous care connecting physicians and patients through algorithmically driven methods like Mayo Clinic Platform hold disruptive potential for economically limited nations to leapfrog antiquated health systems and leverage the latest in digital health and AI.

Human & Robot Interaction for individualized preventive medicine through mobile applications, personal devices, and eventually humanoid robots, will assist individuals in living a higher quality of life through equitably distributed technologies.

Entrepreunership in Medicine

Ambient Intelligence Inc. is a medtech startup that utilizes ultra high frequency radar sensors for noninvasive and contactless monitoring of the aging population.

Translational Science

Ambient Intelligence Inc.

As Founder of Ambient Intelligence I have received several research grants to develop a noninvasive and contactless monitoring system for the aging population. If successful this solution has the potential to transform how humans care for one another as aging individuals progress on the continuum of care. The current standard for assessing the ability to live independently is eye-witness. Our systems collects 1000 pieces of data per minute, 1B per year on the activity trends of individuals. In the summer of 2024 we attained venture capital backing by gener8tor and Allianz.
